Brendan Lange

Follow BrendanBrendan was born in San Francisco and raised in west Marin County where he cultivated his deeply-held values of environmental stewardship and social justice. He joined the Botanical Garden in 2010 as a Visitor Services Lead Agent, became Visitor Services Manager in 2011, was promoted to Director of Visitor Experience and Marketing in October 2014, and is now Director of Advancement at the Gardens overseeing both philanthropy and marketing and communications.
Before joining the Gardens, he was an educator with the Sunset Neighborhood Beacon Center (SNBC) at Francis Scott Key Elementary After-School Program and facilitator for SNBC’s Environmental Leadership Council. Prior to SNBC, he was the Urban Center Rental Manager for the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR). He also held the position of Environmental Officer at Cappa & Graham, a boutique destination management company. At Cappa & Graham he was responsible for the successful grand opening of the SPUR Urban Center, creating and implementing its event rental business and managing millions of dollars in programs for clients such as Coca Cola, Google and Wells Fargo.
Brendan holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from University of California at Santa Cruz. He lives in the Outer Sunset neighborhood in San Francisco and is an avid surfer, gardener and hiker.
