About the Program

San Francisco-based dance theater company, Sharp & Fine, collaborates with the Gardens of Golden Gate Park to offer a unique performance experience in the Japanese Tea Garden. Presented in modular scenes that feature Sharp & Fine’s physically exuberant and distinctively theatrical choreography performed with live music, the performance invites audiences to share new perspectives on the garden’s beloved spaces.

Each performance will be approximately 15 minutes long. The experience of each performance will be different based on performer improvisation and audience reaction

Choreography and direction by Sharp & Fine Co-Directors Megan and Shannon Kurashige, in collaboration with performers Eric Avery, Charmaine Butcher, Molly Levy, Hadassah Perry, and Ryan Rouland Smith. Music direction by Jordan Glenn, in collaboration with musicians Raffi Garabedian, Beth Schenck, and Cory Wright.
