Join us September 28 at 10am in the San Francisco Botanical Garden Great Meadow as we welcome designer, artist and author Kellie Menendez! Bring your little ones and join us for this special story time as Kellie shares her new picture book, Patterns, Patterns, Everywhere. Stay and enjoy fun and free pattern activities led by Kellie and the Gardens of Golden Gate Park youth education team. All ages and abilities welcome!

Patterns, Patterns Everywhere takes children on an exciting journey through the world of patterns. From intricate designs found in nature to the structured patterns in music to repeating patterns in art, Kellie Menendez skillfully weaves together a narrative that encourages young readers to observe, identify, and appreciate the patterns that surround them daily. Books will be available for sale and signing. Event is free with Garden admission.

Kellie Menendez is an award-winning artist, designer and creative writer. Her decor studio, Half Full, produces patterns for the home inspired by wildlife and wild places. Kellie’s work has been featured in California Home + Design, Business of Home, Domino and Aldea Home — and her poems published in an anthology for CCSF’s Poetry for the People. Kellie loves looking for patterns in San Francisco with her husband, son, and dog, Raya.
