Instructor: Eileen P. Goldenberg, avid Urban Sketcher
Registration includes a FREE Sketch Kit
Please plan to meet Eileen at the Main Entrance of the Botanical Garden 5-10 minutes before the workshop start time.
The SF Botanical Gardens has one of the best collections of Magnolias trees. We will find some of the giant blossoms and look at the shapes, shadows and colors.
Eileen will show you how to simplify shapes to make it easier to draw. Then we will look for shadows and details. Lastly, we will add watercolor. This is a relaxing way to start to observe the world around you and record as you go. Traveling is way more fun when you sketch!
Your FREE sketch kit will include everything you need to start your sketch practice. If you have taken Eileen’s class and would prefer to get a different kit, she can bring you a sketchbook and a Fountain pen with permanent ink. You can bring your watercolor palette, pencil, etc. If you would prefer this alternate kit, please register for the class then send an email to epgoldenberg3344@gmail with you name, date of class and a request for the #2 Sketch kit.
This class is open to anyone ages 7 and up who has a desire to sketch. Please be aware that no matter the age, everyone needs to register.
