Time: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Location: San Francisco Botanical Garden

Instructor: Eileen P. Goldenberg, avid urban sketcher and award-winning artist

Description

Magnolias are blooming in Golden Gate Park, and the San Francisco Botanical Garden has one of the largest collections of Magnolia trees in North America! This class will sketch at one of the early blooming Magnolia trees. Eileen will teach you how to simplify shapes, look for shadows and details, and add watercolor to bring your drawings to life. This class is a relaxing way to observe the world around you and record as you go.

The FREE sketch kit will include everything you need to start your sketch practice, however you are allowed to bring your own watercolor palette, pencil, etc. If you have a small folding stool, you are encouraged to bring it. When you register, send an email to epgoldenberg3344@gmail with your name, date of class, and a request for the #2 Sketch kit. If you have taken one of Eileen’s classes before and would prefer a different sketch kit, let her know and she can provide you with a sketchbook and a fountain pen with permanent ink.

This class is open to anyone ages 7 and up who has a desire to sketch, though everyone is required to register regardless of age.
