Follow ClaireA life-long resident of San Francisco’s Richmond District, Claire Myers is actively involved in the health and welfare of this vibrant neighborhood and its natural places. Myers is a Founding Co-Chair of Friends of Mountain Lake Park Playground and, together with two other local mothers, partnered with the City’s Recreation and Park Department, San Francisco Parks Alliance, Supervisors Farrell and Mar, and countless others to rebuild a decrepit playground near Mountain Lake. The group also coordinated with the Presidio Trust on its lake remediation project. In addition, Myers is a member of the Board of the Planning Association of the Richmond, San Francisco’s largest membership-based neighborhood organization, and advocates for projects related to recreation, transportation, and the district’s physical and social environment.
Currently a top-producing realtor with Hill and Company, Myers has also worked as Managing Editor of Artistic Publications for the San Francisco Opera, Manager of Vocal Artists and Repertoire for Sony Music Entertainment, and as Editorial Assistant for a United Nations publication entitled African Farmer Magazine. Myers, who lived in Europe for some time, has also taught Italian language and culture to middle school students at Rooftop Elementary.
She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and has a Masters degree in Folklore and Folklife from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a diploma in Semiotics from the University of Bologna, Italy. Myers joined the SFBGS Board in 2015.
