Jennifer Petersen

Jennifer Petersen is a leader in both her field of state and local tax practice and in the nonprofit community. Petersen is a partner in KPMG’s tax practice with extensive experience in a wide range of 1-2-19 complex multi-state tax matters relating to her clients’ businesses. Her current and past clients include leaders in the technology, financial services, private equity, and consumer markets industries. For four years she served as the head of KPMG’s Network of Women (San Francisco Chapter) and is a member of the company’s National SALT Emerging Technology Network.

Petersen has served as a board member on a variety of nonprofit boards including the Greater Bay Redwood Area American Cancer Society, Women’s Initiative for Self Employment and as an audit committee member for the San Francisco SPCA. She holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Business Taxation from University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. She joined the SFBGS Board in 2016.
