Lucy Fisher, PhD
Board Member
Lucy Fisher retired from the Dean’s Office of Nursing at University of California, San Francisco, most recently serving as the curriculum director in the UC system’s first program in interprofessional leadership in healthcare. She holds a master’s degree in teaching from Stanford and a PhD in nursing from UCSF.
Born and raised in Honolulu, Lucy grew up with a Japanese garden in her backyard and her father’s orchid collection of dendrobium, cattleya and oncidium. In San Francisco, she brings knowledge of the Japanese Tea Garden, as a member of the Friends of the Japanese Tea Garden since 2017 to raise funds to restore the Pagoda and other iconic features as well as to enhance opportunities to engage the community. Lucy also serves as a board member and is co-chair of the Cultural Heritage and Sustainability Committee for the Japantown Task Force.
