Tish Brown
Board Member
For more than thirty years, Tish Brown worked as an educator and accessibility coordinator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco where she established and directed the internationally recognized, award-winning Museum Ambassador and Accessibility programs. During that time, she earned a certificate in landscape architecture from University of California, Berkeley Extension and, in retirement, pursues her interest in land stewardship. Brown is a member of the Land Stewardship Committee of the Bolinas Public Utilities District, working to restore ten acres of publicly owned oak woodlands. She is a former board member of the California Garden and Landscape History Society, the Environmental Forum of Marin, and San Francisco Garden Club, where she currently serves as Chair of the Civic Engagement Committee. Brown joined the SFBGS Board in 2013, volunteers in the Garden’s nursery and is a Marin Master Gardener. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received her Master of Art in Art History from Johns Hopkins University.
