Gifts at the Garden
Looking for the perfect gift? Come by Gifts at the Garden, our free-to-attend curated market of sustainable, local, and fair-trade gifts, on Saturday & Sunday, December 14-15. You’ll find handcrafted items from talented local makers alongside exclusive Gardens of Golden Gate Park merchandise, books, and art. Plus, members can enjoy exclusive early shopping access during Members Hour on Saturday, December 14 to ensure they get first pick from the market’s best finds. Become a member today!
Wreath Making Workshops
Craft your own festive wreath using locally sourced evergreens, eucalyptus, and botanical accents from the Gardens. Bay Area artist Robert Mahar will guide you through the process of handcrafting a beautiful wreath to bring home. Our annual Wreath Making Workshops are a beloved tradition to share with friends and family. Plus, members can kick off the festivities early at our Members-Only Wine & Wreaths Workshop on Friday, December 13.
End-of-Season Plant Sale
‘Tis the season for some plantastic deals! Everything from house plants to California native plants will be 20% off! Plus, Gardens Members enjoy an additional 10% off as a end-of-year thank you for your support. Shop the sale on Saturday & Sunday, December 14-15, 10am-4pm. Let’s make your season bright and leafy!
Light Show at the Conservatory of Flowers
Did you know that the iconic Conservatory of Flowers comes alive with a dazzling Winter Light Show every night beginning 30 minutes after sunset? Bundle up and watch the lights transform our historic glasshouse into a canvas of colorful botanical art designed by Lumigeek featuring music by Tim Digulla. This light show is free and fun for all ages!
Holiday Free Days
Admission to the Gardens is always free for SF Residents with valid ID, veterans, Museums for All participants, and Members. The Gardens are proud to provide free days for everybody on a regular basis. This is wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Gardens with loved ones.
Conservatory of Flowers will host a free day on December 3, 2024.
Japanese Tea Garden provides free entry from 9-10am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
San Francisco Botanical Garden is free on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
