San Francisco Botanical Garden — Meet at Main Gate
About the Program
Join us for a leisurely bird tour of the San Francisco Botanical Garden!
Fall bird migration will be in full swing, so we will look for unusual warblers and returning overwintering birds, such as Townsend’s and Yellow-rumped Warblers, Fox Sparrows, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, and Hermit Thrushes. And, of course, we’ll be on the lookout for our familiar friends: Scrub Jays, Robins, California Towhees, Red-tailed and Red-shouldered Hawks, White-crowned Sparrows and Song Sparrows!
Recommended Supplies
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Hat and layers
- Portable chair
- Binoculars (if you have an extra pair to share, please bring it!)
Please email birdcurious@goldengatebirds.org with any questions, or if you require specific accommodations. Make sure to include Botanical Gardens in the subject line.
