About the Program

The historic Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park is hosting the inaugural Botanical Artist Reception! Founded and curated by California artist Victoria Pearl Lee, the juried festival brings together fine artists whose work honors nature, botanical forms, and the organic world. Set against one of California’s most iconic cultural landmarks, the festival will feature selected artists working in painting, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, photography, and artisanal practices that incorporate organic materials such as metal, wood, and glass. Jewelry artists whose work reflects botanical themes are also included.

About the Artists

Edi Matsumoto was born and raised in Japan, and her work has won numerous awards and has been shown at galleries and museums locally, nationally, and internationally, including Art Renewal Center, the International Guild of Realism, the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the Triton Museum of Arts in Santa Clara, and Pacific Grove Art Center, and in prestigious art magazines including Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector, and Leonardo Guía de Art y Artistas. In 2024, she opened a Edi Matsumoto Art & Design, an art gallery and studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and in 2025 published her first book, Otter Therapy.

Christina Beilby is an artist from Seaside whose work playfully explores nature, using images from her surroundings, her memories, and her imagination. Her pieces invite viewers to pause, reflect, and perhaps feel a special emotion. Christina’s first steps in art were in Spain. She held several exhibitions and participated in different juried art contests. Throughout her career as a teacher, she has encouraged the artistic growth of her students and holds a student art show at the end of every school year. Currently, she participates in the Open Studios Art Tour in Monterey and is looking forward to growing with her art community in the future.

Adriana Rodriguez is a photographer from Salinas whose work immerses viewers in a world of vibrant color, transforming the familiar into something mesmerizing. The images naturally pull the viewer inward, evoking a sense of wonder and inviting audiences to see the world anew. Born and raised in the Canary Islands, Spain, but living in California. Her work is inspired by her feelings about the world around her, capturing a personal view of everyday living through analog photography.

Xuebing Du is a San Francisco Bay Area–based visual artist from China, whose work has been exhibited internationally at the Saatchi Gallery (London), Fotografiska in Stockholm and Tallinn, and Foundation Clément (Martinique). Deeply inspired by classical painting, her photography emphasizes light, color, and texture to reveal the elegance and subtleties of her subjects. Exploring nature’s duality, its softness and resilience, Du blends emotional depth with visual clarity, transforming the ordinary into the sublime and inviting viewers to experience the natural world in a fresh, almost otherworldly way.
