Easy Garden Sketching: Yellow Ginkgos with Eileen P. Goldenberg

About the Program

Registration includes a comprehensive sketch kit. Please bring your own folding chair or stool.

Ginkgos are some of the largest trees in the San Francisco Botanical Garden, and in the fall their leaves turn a brilliant shade of yellow! Because of this, they are amazing subjects to sketch. Eileen will teach participants how to simplify shapes, look for shadows and details, and add watercolor to their sketches. This class is a relaxing way to observe and record the world around you. 

Your comprehensive sketch kit will include everything you need to start your sketching practice. The kit includes a sketchbook, pen, pencil, water brush, binder clip, paper towel, and watercolors. You may also bring your own sketching materials. If you have taken one of Eileen’s classes before and would prefer a #2 Sketch Kit — a sketchbook and fountain pen with permanent ink — you may request one when you register.

This class is appropriate for ages 7 and up. All participants must register regardless of age.
