About the Program

Join us for an exciting presentation on growing tomatoes and vegetables in containers! Discover the numerous advantages of container gardening, including space-saving solutions and easy maintenance. We’ll guide you through selecting the right containers, choosing the best soil and amendments and exploring various tomato varietals and veggies that thrive in containers. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or a beginner, you’ll leave with valuable tips and inspiration to create your own flourishing container garden.

About the Speakers

Pat Kramer is a retired oncology nurse and a passionate gardener who has been tending her Noe Valley garden for thirty years. In 2024, she completed the UC Master Gardener program. She loves all aspects of gardening–especially growing succulents, pollinators, herbs, container tomatoes, and Meyer lemons. She is a life-long learner who enjoys sharing knowledge with others and also cooking, hiking, travel, and family gatherings with her husband, twin daughters and baby grandson.

Troy Weakely became a master gardener in 2024 and lives in San Francisco.
