Library eBooks

Through a consortium of botanical and horticultural libraries, the Helen Crocker Russell Library provides access to a collection of over 7,000 eBooks for all Gardens of Golden Gate Park staff and members. eBooks are in the subject areas of horticulture, gardening, natural history, botany, garden design, landscape architecture, and more.

Accessing eBooks

You can access the eBook platform by using the 13-digit number on the back of your Helen Crocker Russell Library Card. Hint: Library Card numbers start with 31972. No spaces are necessary.

Garden members can sign up for a library card online or in person. Once you have a library card, we will add your information to our eBook platform (this may take up to two weeks).

eBooks are listed in the library catalog. Once you find the title you are looking for, click the link and it will bring you to our eBook sign on page.

Sign in to ProQuest eBook Central using your 13-digit library card. From there you can read eBooks online or download them to any device.
