A life-long resident of San Francisco’s Richmond District, Claire Myers is actively involved in the health and welfare of this vibrant neighborhood and its natural places. Myers is a Founding Co-Chair of Friends of Mountain Lake Park Playground and partnered with the City’s Recreation and Park Department, San Francisco Parks Alliance, Supervisors, the Presidio Trust and countless others to rebuild a decrepit playground adjacent to Mountain Lake. Myers served for eight years on the Board of the Planning Association of the Richmond, San Francisco’s largest membership-based neighborhood organization, and advocates for projects related to recreation, transportation, and the district’s physical and social environment.
Myers has also worked at San Francisco Opera, Sony Music Entertainment, and the United Nations. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (BA), the University of Pennsylvania (MA), the Wright Institute (MA/ LMFT). Myers joined the San Francisco Botanical Garden Society Board in 2015.
