With the magnolia trees in full bloom, this workshop will focus on comparing and contrasting several different species throughout the San Francisco Botanical Garden.
For the beginner who wants to learn about field sketching to an advanced illustrator who wants a reason to explore the Gardens of Golden Gate Park, join science illustrator Sami Chang as she goes to the San Francisco Botanical Garden. Through this workshop, you will learn some tips and tricks on how to get accurate sketches as well as explore different methods of field sketching. This is a great opportunity to not only explore, but to also sit and enjoy all of the plants the gardens have to offer.
Materials not included. Please refer to materials list and be prepared to bring these supplies to the workshop.

- Watercolor paints (contained in a palette)
- Sketchbook (with watercolor paper)
- Waterbrush
- Micron pen
- Tombow Dual Brush Pen – Cool Gray
